Colson Kelly, also known by the name Machine Gun Kelly, has an unique rapping style. Baker, who was born the 22nd of April, 1990, in Houston Texas U.S. to an extended family of English Scottish and German ancestry, is renowned for his distinctive way of singing. His parents are missionaries. During his childhood the Bakers traveled extensively together. James Colson Baker battled depression as well as joblessness. His mother Sonia Alane dumped him at age nine. After that, Baker and his father relocated to Denver where they lived together with his father's aunt. Baker was bullied by fellow children because of his lack of wealth. He began listening to rap when he was in sixth grade. Colson Baker, better known as Machine Gun Kelly, was born in Texas on April 22nd, 1990. The songs he composed are known as a blend of contemporary hip-hop and rock music and alternative music. Baker has released four mixtapes over the years from 2007 to 2010 prior to signing with Bad Boy Records. Then in the latter half of 2011, this Cleveland rapper was a household name when he changed from self-releasing mixtapes to signing with well-known label labels. In the following years, every album he released came in at #10 on the chart.
